We're swimming for Sick Kids!
This November, Brooke and I are taking part in Swim for Sick Kids, and we’re swimming for Max. 💙
Max is just 2 years old, from Dubbo, and is currently fighting brain cancer at Westmead’s Children’s Hospital in Sydney.
Max’s story is especially close to our hearts, as his big sister is a student at the school where Brooke and I work. Seeing a family within our own school community face something no family should ever have to go through has given this challenge an even greater meaning for us.
While Max undergoes treatment, having his family close is incredibly important. That’s why we’re swimming to support Ronald McDonald House Sydney and the families who rely on it while their children receive treatment.
For families with seriously ill or injured children, Ronald McDonald House provides a place to stay close to the hospital completely free of charge, allowing them to focus on what matters most — being there for their child.
It costs around $190 to support a sick child and his family for just one night at the House.
So this November, every lap Brooke and I swim will be for Max — and for every little fighter and family facing the unimaginable. 🏊♀️💙
If you’re able to donate, no matter how big or small, you’ll be helping keep families together when they need each other most.
Let’s get behind our little Dubbo fighter. This one’s for you, Max. 💙
