Swimming for Sick Kids — A Cause Close to Our Hearts ❤️🏊♀️
🏊♀️❤️ This November, I’m Swimming for Sick Kids — and this one is very close to my heart. ❤️🏊♀️
For me, this isn’t just another fundraiser.
My son has been a patient at The Children’s Hospital at Westmead for many years, undergoing appointments, treatments and procedures throughout his childhood. We also know many family members and friends whose children have needed the care of Westmead.
Because of that, I know firsthand just how important it is to have somewhere like Ronald McDonald House when your child is sick.
When you’re facing appointments, treatments or surgery with your child — whether it’s something big or small, a short stay or a journey that lasts months or even years — the last thing a family needs is the added stress of wondering where they’re going to stay or how they’re going to keep their family together.
Ronald McDonald House truly becomes a home away from home. ❤️
The facilities give families comfort and some sense of normality during incredibly stressful times, and the staff are always there to help. They genuinely go above and beyond to support families when they need it most.
That’s why I’m so proud to be taking part in Swim for Sick Kids this November. 🏊♀️
It costs around $190 to support a sick child and their family for one night at Ronald McDonald House, while families are able to stay FREE and focus on what matters most — their sick child.
I’m asking my friends, family and our community to please get behind us. 💕
If you can donate, no matter how big or small, you’ll be helping another family have that support when their world suddenly becomes hospital rooms, appointments, treatments, surgeries and uncertainty.
And we’d LOVE to have more people swimming alongside us! 🏊♀️🏊♂️
If you’d like to join our team, swim some laps with us and help raise money for this amazing cause, please contact me! You don’t have to be the fastest swimmer or swim the most laps — it’s about getting involved, having a go and raising as much as we can together. ❤️
If you can’t swim or donate, even sharing our fundraising page helps spread the word.
We’ll swim the laps — we just need our community behind us! 💪❤️
Every lap, every donation and every share helps keep a family close to their sick child when they need each other most.
This November, we’re swimming for the sick kids, their parents, their siblings and every family who needs a home away from home. ❤️
Thank you so much for supporting us. 🫶

I have every confidence in your ability to achieve your goal Charlee💕
