Keeping Families Close When It Matters Most ❤️
Earlier this year our 12-year-old daughter Monica underwent major brain surgery at Sydney Children’s Hospital after being diagnosed with a large brain tumour.
During what was without doubt the hardest period our family has ever faced, Ronald McDonald House Randwick gave us somewhere to stay only minutes from Monica’s hospital room. It gave Bec and me a place to sleep, eat, regroup and stay close to Mon while she was undergoing surgery and beginning her recovery.
Thankfully Monica is now home in Canberra and doing really well.
In October I’m being inducted into the NSW Clay Target Association Hall of Fame, and as the current World DTL Clay Target Shooting Champion, I’m fortunate to have a lot of friends from the shooting community coming together for what will be a very special night.
I’d like to use the occasion to give something back to Ronald McDonald House and help another family who suddenly finds themselves in the position we did.
