In memory of Miles Murdoch
I'm taking part in Swim for Sick Kids this November to support seriously ill and injured children and their families.
In 2015, Ronald McDonald House was there for us when Miles was in ICU after having a cardiac arrest. For his sisters - Georgia, Niamh, Elspeth and Beatrix - the house was home for nearly 3-months, allowing them to be close to their brother, mum and dad while he recovered.
Miles passed in May 2016 and the time the family was able to share with him because of Ronald McDonald House are now cherished memories.
For sick kids staying at Ronald McDonald House Sydney, they just want their families close as they battle childhood diseases, illnesses and injuries.
On average, it costs $190 to support a sick child and their family for one night at the House. The families stay for FREE so they can focus on what is most important, their sick child.
